Mount Moriah School was located off N. Druid Hills Road in DeKalb County, along Mt. Moriah Road. It was one of the schools established in the first half of the 20th century for Black children to attend school in a time of segregation.

To celebrate Tucker, Georgia’s ten-year anniversary as a city and the U.S. 250th birthday, Tucker came up with a scavenger hunt with ten historic sites to visit. The idea was to take a selfie at each site, then stop by city hall and receive an official ten-year medallion. My neighbor, friend and fellow history fan Debbie Miller found out about this event and mapped out our journey.
